How could any human being do this?

In Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA, Crystal Keith, 24 is charged with beating her nephew, 13-month-old Christopher (pic on the left) to death and torturing his 2-year-old sister for months.

Milwaukee County Medical Examiner told the court that Christopher suffered more than 47 injuries! His arm was torn away from his shoulder. His other arm was broken. He had been punched in the face so hard his teeth bruised his inner lips. His brain had hemorrhaged and his eyes bled, a condition seen only in car accidents, falls from great heights and child abuse.

Crystal Keith also abused Christopher's 2 year old sister. Crystal Keith told the detectives she hit the child with the brush on her knuckles and feet. The skin on her hands began to peel away, and her toenails began to crumble. In her confession Crystal Keith said "It got so bad with the feet that I wouldn't let my husband or anybody see her feet. So I left socks on her all the time. One morning . . . I had her in the kitchen on the pot (child's toilet) and she was turned wrong so it made me mad so I smacked her in the face so bad that her eyes were closed." After the beating, Keith said, she wrapped the girl's head in a scarf, placed her facing backward on the toilet, made her put her head in her lap and left her in that position for the rest of the day.
Rest in peace, little Christopher. You now now safe in God's embrace.
