Why I blog

Actually, to be honest, starting this blog was a spur of the moment decision. My brother was down for a visit in May. He was in my house one day and we were reading some interesting blogs. Then we had an inspiration, why not blog too and see what it is like? Well, so we each claimed a blogspot space that day.

These 2 months had been a muddling through period for me where blogging is concerned. What should I do with my blog? I slowly began to make some entries. Then slowly everything fell in place.

I realized that I could just write about my own experiences, any silly little things that happen, any nice things that happen, my feelings about things or issues I feel strongly about. Not that these would interest anybody, but it doesn’t matter.

I realize too that I like to read about hints on keeping healthy, why not then share these with other seniors like me? I also like a good laugh. I constantly look for jokes and any funny stuff from magazines and the Internet. Why not brighten up others a little by sharing these funnies with them?

So when I started this blog I was driven by a sense of curiosity. It was like, “Okay, let me find out what it is like, let me give it a try”. Now after 2 months I find gratification in having a space to put down my thoughts and feelings and to share what I like with others.
