Local places of interest

Each day, awakening, are we asked to paint the sky blue? Need we coax the sun to rise or flowers to bloom? Need we teach birds to sing, or children to laugh, or lovers to kiss? No, though we think the world imperfect, it surrounds us each day with its perfections. ~Robert Brault

At the ching-swee-temple-in-genting-highlands
The founder of Genting_Highlands, Lim Goh Tong's statue. Those of you who know Chinese, try to read the inspiring notes on the stone. The English translation goes something like this "God gave us the ability to think, to talk and to move around. If we use these abilities there is nothing we cannot achieve".

Kimono in Genting???

pulau ketam (Crab Island), 45 minutes boat ride from Port Klang

The boat that took us to the island

Carefully does it.....

The jetty at the island

A boat ride anyone?

Fruits to quench the thirst

The town centre

Only bicycles on the island..no cars...

The seafood...so fresh...yummy yummy

A Temple on the island

The houses all on stilts

Instead of a school bus, here a school boat ferries the school children back to their homes along the coast.
